Looking for a nice little appetizer? Maybe for Sunday football,
or a party. Well today I have delicious deviled eggs for you! These are super
easy to make in short little time. Also it serves up to 40 servings. For this
recipe you will need: eggs, celery, onion, mayonnaise, salt, hot pepper sauce,
and paprika. For these special deviled eggs it takes 20 minutes to prep and 15
to cook, for a total of 45 minutes for them to be ready to serve. How-to:
Step 1: place 20 eggs in a medium sized sauce pan and cover
them with cold water.
Step 2: Then bring the water to a boil and immediately
remove the water from the heat. Next cover and let the eggs stand in hot for
about 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 3: Remove the eggs from the hot water and let them
cool. After they are all cooled you can then proceed to peel the egg shells
off.
Step 4: Now cut the eggs in half. After you have cut the
eggs make sure to remove the yolks and place them in a separate medium sized
bowl for later use.
Step 5: Now mash together 2/3 stalks of celery and make sure
they are finely chopped along with 7/8 onion also finely chopped, ¾ cup, 1 tablespoon
and teaspoon of mayonnaise, ¾ dashes of hot pepper sauce and paprika for a
garnish. Also add a pinch of salt for more taste.
Step 6: Lastly stuff the egg white halves with the egg yolk
mixture just made above. Then sprinkle eggs with paprika.
Step 7: To chill, cover the eggs and place the in the refrigerator
until ready to serve
ENJOY!
TIP: adding the
onion and celery is just a preference, doesn’t have to be used, but adds a little
more flavor to the yolk mixture.
