R2. Pizza Muffins

If you’re looking for another great Super Bowl appetizer to indulge your party goers with I have the perfect recipe for you right here! This recipe is just like pizza bites, pizza bagels, pizza rolls, and pizza itself. This time it is just in a different form. This is personally one of my favorite things to snack on. And they are pizza muffins! The pizza muffins recipe calls for is crescent dinner rolls, pizza sauce, mini pepperoni slices, Italian sausage, and shredded mozzarella cheese. These pizza muffins take only 15 minutes to prep and 30 minutes total to cook. They serve up to 8 people. Now how-to:

Step 1: heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and 8 regular size muffin pans with cooking spray to prevent the crescent rolls from sticking to them.

Step 2: Unroll 1 can of the crescent rolls and separate them into 8 different triangles.  Then press them into the muffin cups.

Step 3: Then in a small bowl, mix together ½ cup of pizza sauce, ¼ cup of mini pepperoni slices, ¼ pounds of mild sausage cooked and drained, and ¼ cup of cheese together.

Step 4: Now spoon about 2 tablespoons of the mixture into each of dough-lined muffin cups. Then sprinkle each with an additional 1 tablespoon of cheese.

Step 5: Bake the pizza muffins for about 16 to 18 minutes. Or you can bake them until lightly browned on top. It
is very important to immediately remove the pizza muffins out of the pan then serve to your guests.

TIP: if you can’t find mini pepperoni slices you can buy regular size ones and cup the pepperoni into slices yourself. You can cut the pepperoni into fourths
.
These pizza muffins are a fun way to eat pizza in a muffin form!
