AA1. Easter Cupcake Baskets

Looking for something a little creative and fun to make? With this fun recipe you can create an edible Easter basket made out of cupcakes. You can fill the basket with jelly beans and little chocolate eggs! This is just a bunch of Easter fun! To do this you will need: a dozen of cupcakes, one bag of jelly beans, 2 cups of white frosting, either a pipe cleaner or red licorice and sweetened coconut colored with green food coloring. This should be somewhat super easy and fun to make! I like this recipe because it adds a little more creativity in it rather than other recipes on my blog. Let’s get going on this!

Step 1: First you want to start off by frosting the cupcakes with the white frosting. Then you want to bend a pipe cleaner or what I prefer red licorice into an arch and push the ends into the side of the cupcakes to make a handle.

Step 2: After that shake the shredded coconut into a stainless steel bowl. Then sprinkle the green food coloring bit by bit, mixing evenly to distribute the color.

Step 3: Now you want to place a pinch of the shredded coconut onto the tops of the iced cupcakes. This will give it the grassy kind of look as in like an Easter basket. After that place 3 jelly beans into the “nest” of the coconuts.

Step 4: Next tie a small ribbon into a bow on the pipe cleaner or the licorice at a cute angle to kind of give it the finish touch or look.

That is all it takes! And then you can place each cupcake basket by each plate setting at Easter dinner or just hand them out as cute little gifts! It will go great with little kids Easter baskets full of candy!
