AA2: Carrot Patch Cookies

This next Easter treat is are Carrot Patch Cookies. Just in like the last Easter treat blog; this next special treat will add even a little more creativity and fun to your Easter day. What you will need for this are: orange Mike and Ike Candies, green gummy candies, Nabisco Bisco sugar wafer cookies, chocolate frosting, and chocolate wafer cookie crumbs. For the green gummy candies you can just use ripped pieces of green licorice. A very important note as to why Nabisco Bisco wafers are used is because they are much smaller than any other brands. Now I can tell you how to make these fun treats!

Step 1: To make each carrot, cut a little slit in the top of the Mike and Ike candies. Then you want to cut a small triangle from the green gummy candies, and then fringe the base to form the leaves.

Step 2: After that tuck the triangle into the slit of the Mike and Ike and pinch it close. This will make the carrot.

Step 3: Now to make each so called carrot planter you want to place a wafer cookie base on a flat surface. Now form the longer walls by using two whole wafer cookies then to form the shorter walls cut another wafer cookie in half and place on the adjacent sides. To attach the pieces use frosting.

Step 4: To fill the flour planters, combine 2 tablespoons frosting with 2 tablespoons of cookie crumbs. Then fill each box with the mixture, and then press 3 of the carrots into each of the planter boxes.

If needed add more the frosting mixture to hold the carrots in place. These treats can be perfect for decorations around the Easter dinner table, or even for just a little snack to munch on!
