Z1. Bunny Cupcakes

April 20th is quickly approaching and I bet you are looking for some great Easter ideas. Maybe you want need something for an Easter basket or just because you have a tad bit of sweet tooth. These bunny cupcakes I am about to show you are not only a wonderful dessert but super adorable! Not only is it a cupcake but it has marshmallow peeps on them too, and other sorts of candy! And all of this is just a hop away from making delicious bunny cupcakes. These cupcakes are super easy to make and fun to make with others. This recipe makes up to 45 servings with 30 minute prep time. To make them you will need: Betty Crocker super moist yellow or white cake mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, OR egg whites, pink food coloring, 2 containers of white fluffy frosting, 5 large marshmallows, pink sugar, and candy decorations and sprinkles, or desired. Now let’s learn!

Step 1: First start off by heating the oven to 350 degrees, or if you have a darker pan 325 degrees. Then make and bake the cake mix as directed on the box. That will make 24 cupcakes.

Step 2: Then cool the cupcakes in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove them and move to a cooling rack. It will take about 30 minutes for them to completely cool.

Step 3: Now stir a few drops into one of the containers of the pink frosting. After the cupcakes are completely cooled you can frost the cupcakes with the pink frosting.

Step 4: Now spoon 1 heaping teaspoon of white frosting onto the center of each cupcake. Then to make the ears on the bunny, cute each large marshmallow into 5 different pieces using kitchen scissors. Now to make it look like bunny ears cut each marshmallow down the center to within ¼ inch of the edge. Then separate to look like bunny ears.

Step 5: Then press one side of the bunny ears into the pink sugar. Then arrange on each side of the white frosting to create the bunny look you’re aiming for.

Step 6: Now you can add additional decoration if you desire. You can use candy and sprinkles to make eyes, nose, and whiskers as shown.
