Caramel Apple Pie Pizza

Caramels and apples are a match made in heaven, especially when paired up in a delicious
dessert pizza. This featured recipe is one of Pillsbury’s best flavor combinations ever created. This featured recipes call for apples, Pillsbury Grand’s Caramel Rolls, sugar and ground cinnamon. First start off by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 12 inch cast iron skillet with cooking spray. This prevents any food from sticking. Next unroll the caramel cinnamon rolls into individual strips. Just reminders make sure to set aside the caramel sauce for later. Cut the strips in half and place them into the cast iron skillet. Cover the whole skillet with strips with each strip touching each other. After that in a medium size mixing bowl toss 2 medium sliced and peeled apples that are thinly sliced. Along with the apples mix ¼ cups of sugar and ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Mix thoroughly and arrange on the dough. The dough is the caramel cinnamon rolls after they have been cooked. You want to bake the apples for about 30 minutes or unless apples are tender. To check to see if the apples are tender if they can be pierced with a fork. After your apples are done in the oven it’s finally time to apply the final topping. Microwave the caramel sauce for 10 seconds with lid removed. Lastly drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples, and let them stand for 10 minutes max. Finally cut the “pizza” into wedges and serve warm. This dessert is super-fast and easy to make. It’s a great way for a mother and daughter to make together.
